The Government Palace, located in the center of the city, is the historical site that presides over the life of the people of Nuevo Leon and where it is possible to reflect on the various processes that shaped the current society of this state. It was one of the most important achievements of General Bernardo Reyes as Governor of Nuevo León. Of neoclassical architecture, it was designed by the Engineer Francisco Beltrán. Its construction began in 1895 and took thirteen years to complete.
